The options are endless, but I found a few listed on the Time Out NY for Kids  website that looked pretty cool and worth the trip into the big apple!

For the boys…

New York Transit Museum

What little boy doesn’t love a bus! These weekend parties start with a guided tour of interactive exhibits where kids can explore the museum’s collection of vintage buses, turnstiles and subway cars. Guests may also create their own mosaic subway tile, design their own toy vehicle to wheel around or participate in a scavenger hunt.

New York City Fire Museum

This is the hot spot for all kids who want to grow up to be a firefighter. Two museum educators lead guests in storytelling, show-and-tell, art projects and a scavenger hunt.

Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

Kids get to live out their wildest fantasy when they choose a pilot-, astronaut-, spy-, marine- or Pirate–themed bash; activities include a Exploring a real Coast Guard helicopter not normally open to the public, making a space suit or tug-of-war and obstacle course.

For the girls…

Eloise at the plaza

Anyone for tea? Children get a taste of what life’s like for the Plaza’s most famous and fabulous resident during an Eloise birthday party.

Pop Star Parties

Few youngsters have the chops to land a recording contract with a studio where superstars like the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Anna Kendrick  from Pitch Perfect have sang, but guests of Pop Star Parties might as well be Grammy winners. Kids belt out their favorite songs, then download the results.

Le Carrousel Birthday Parties

The basic party package includes unlimited rides on the Bryant Park carousel for an hour, use of the outdoor party space for 90 minutes, a party liaison, and setup of tables, chairs and umbrellas.
